InterVision Buys Out Infiniti, Buffing Up Cloud Storage Capabilities

News

InterVision announced their acquisition of Infiniti Consulting Group on Tuesday, Sept. 11, making it their fourth deal of this kind in two years. Infiniti has provided managed IT and cloud services in California for fifteen years, working with the state government on many projects over the years.

InterVision is also a provider of managed IT services, and has instantly expanded their capacity to deliver large and complex cloud services by acquiring Infiniti. Huron Capital, a Detroit-based private equity firm, invested in InterVision in May 2016 and helped them buy out Infiniti. Since that investment, InterVision has also acquired or merged with Bluelock, Netelligent, and Independent Technology Group.

Before the buyout, Infiniti achieved official partner status with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. These tech giants are two of the largest infrastructure providers on the market. Infiniti provides services that include DevOps, and cloud and hybrid storage architecture and security.

This kind of technological backup is slowly spreading through businesses across the country. Approximately 50% of businesses report using cloud-based technology, while 96% say they have a disaster recovery solution. According to InterVision CEO Aaron Stone, Infiniti’s proficiency at providing cloud storage services to these businesses and their partnership with other major industry players was a major benefit in acquiring the business.

“Infiniti has one of the deepest benches of AWS and Azure experts in the U.S., with 15 years of experience delivering advanced cloud services to hundreds of organizations,” says Stone.

The beginning of Infiniti’s 15-year history was with the California State Teachers Retirement System and the state’s Department of Transportation. They went on to work with other California departments as well as the Alabama Office of Information Technology, giving them invaluable experience in the public sector as well.

According to Scott Drossos, the President of Infiniti, having this relationship with InterVision will be beneficial to all parties. InterVision has a massive portfolio of clients who use its infrastructure solutions, managed services, and professional services. Infiniti is looking forward to applying their tried and true methods from their experience in the public sector with this new array of private clients.
